It’s International Women’s Day on Saturday 8th March and at the JVC Online we would like to mark this day with a number of short contributions on nineteenth-century women (real and imagined). Your post could be on an inspirational Victorian woman/ women, a hidden female voice or someone you are/ have researched and want to bring to the fore.  You can also highlight any individual or collaborative research projects and posts that discuss how to study and teach  nineteenth-century gender studies are also encouraged. Digital projects are also included in this.

Posts should be around 500 words in length. We welcome interactive blog posts as well. Posts should be with us by the 5th March to be included in this day celebration. All enquiries and posts can be sent to journalofvictorianculture@gmail.com.

Guidelines for posts can be found here

Don’t forget that we always looking for contributions so please feel free to drop us line if you have any suggestions.
